Two NCAA Division I men's hockey programs—the Maine Black Bears and the Miami RedHawks—meet at Harold Alfond Arena in Orono, Maine. As the on-campus home of Maine hockey, the arena has stood since 1977 and was expanded in the early 1990s to accommodate growing demand. The event highlights a cross-conference matchup in a historic, intimate rink that remains central to the University of Maine's athletic tradition.
