Two NCAA Division I women's hockey programs—the Providence Friars and the Maine Black Bears—face off at Harold Alfond Arena in Orono, Maine. The arena, a longstanding on-campus venue for Maine hockey since 1977, serves as a premier setting for high-level college hockey in the region.
